We are currently searching for an experienced security engineer who can work closely with development teams to ensure that our clients' systems and applications are protected against security threats. About the role as a Security Engineer
As a security engineer at Assured, you'll help our clients develop and implement a secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), supported by automated CI/CD pipelines and tools. You'll also:
- advise and support our clients' development teams on security matters and architectural choices.
- analyze and manage vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for patching and mitigation.
- act as a Security Champion within client development teams to foster a security-aware culture.
- participate in design and code reviews to ensure security and adherence to best practices.
- stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
- provide training and conduct workshops.

Professional development and continued education is of strategic importance at Assured. In order to nurture learning you will have the ability to try a wide variety of target systems in different environments and technology stacks. Knowledge sharing is promoted by recurring internal events where new tools, techniques and insights are discussed.
Your profile
You have several years experience working as a developer, tester or within a security role. You are used to working independently, but enjoy working in a team where knowledge is shared. Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite for the role.
We also believe you have:
- experience working with application security and SDLC
- the ability to communicate security concepts and recommendations to developers and other stakeholders.
- experience with using and integrating security tools in CI/CD environments.
It's a plus if you have:
- A certification such as ISC2 CSSLP or equivalent
- A solid understanding of security architecture and principles.
- The ability to lead a team through an assignment
- An interest in internal knowledge sharing
